The Malone University Athletic Department has announced the 2012 spring schedules for the Pioneer baseball, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's golf, women's golf and outdoor track & field teams.
Men's tennis opens on Friday, Feb. 10th with a 2:00 p.m. match against Wayne State (MI) University at nearby Hall of Fame Fitness Center. Women's tennis will begin the spring portion of its schedule the following day (Sat. Feb., 11th) with a 4:00 p.m. road contest versus Oberlin College.
Baseball and softball will commence their respective 2012 campaigns over spring break. Baseball will make its annual trip to Phoenix, Arizona for 16 games at the RussMatt Invitational. Softball, meanwhile, will be in Hardeeville, South Carolina to compete in eight games at the Smash Hit Tournament hosted by the University of South Carolina - Beaufort.
After wrapping up its indoor season at the University of Mount Union's last chance meet on March 3rd, the Pioneer track & field program's outdoor season will start at the Stark County Challenge at Walsh University on March 17th.
The spring portion of the women's golf schedule will begin on March 24th when the Pioneers take part in the Grove City (PA) College Invitational.
After travelling to World Woods Golf Resort in Brooksville, Florida over spring break, men's golf will open up spring varsity competition on March 30th and 31st at Capital University's Purple & White Invitational.
