The Malone University women's tennis team extended its winning streak to five games, the longest string in recent years for the program, on Tuesday with a 9-0 victory at Waynesburg University (PA). The win, which came in straight sets for all Pioneer players, was the fourth 9-0 triumph during that five-game winning stretch.
With the win, Malone improved to 6-7 overall (remaining at 1-6 in GLIAC play) while Waynesburg fell to 2-7 overall.
The convincing victory saw two Pioneers post perfect 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles competition while one other Malone student-athlete collected one 6-0 set victory among her two sets.
Asia Harris and
Kaley Kahoun each earned their team-best seventh singles victory of the season.
