Freshman
Asia Harris (Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy), of the Malone University women's tennis team, was named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team after posting an 11-8 overall record (6-7 GLIAC record) in singles and a 9-9 overall record (3-9 GLIAC record) in doubles, playing primarily alongside senior
Marie Konstan.
Harris played out of the #1 spot in 16 of her 19 singles matches while she and Konstan teamed up as the #3 doubles team for the majority of the season. Harris helped guide the Pioneers to a 7-13 overall record and 2-12 record in their first year in the GLIAC.
“Asia has been a huge asset to our program this year,” said head coach
Brian Mogus. “Every time an opponent thought they won the point, Asia would get to it and hit a better shot. The best part is that she's just a freshman. If she works hard, I think she could be the best player in the conference."
