Women's Tennis Earns Second Straight 9-0 Victory With Home Win Over Thiel

Junior Janelle Linder, playing at #5 singles, earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory over her opponent as Malone defeated Thiel College on Friday by the score of 9-0, all in straight sets.


The Malone University women's tennis team pocketed its second straight victory by another 9-0 margin as the squad blanked visiting Thiel College (PA) on Friday evening in a non-conference match.  With the win, Malone improved to 3-7 on the season (0-6 GLIAC) while Thiel dropped to 2-8 on the year.

The Pioneers cruised to victory with straight-set wins in all matches that were held.  In addition to the actual seven matches that were played on the night, two matches were won by Malone by forfeit as Thiel had only five players competing in the event.
