Two Malone Teams Win NCCAA Scholar Team Award For Cumulative GPA


The Malone University women's cross country and women's tennis teams were recognized by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) for achieving a cumulative grade point average greater than a 3.4.

The women's cross country team, which placed third out of 35 teams in the NCCAA National Championship meet, boasts a 3.47 team cumulative grade point average while the women's tennis team owns an impressive 3.44 cumulative grade point average of their own.

Ten of the 15 women from the cross country team achieved G.P.A.'s above a 3.4 last semester including three individuals who earned a perfect 4.0. Additionally, 10 of the 15 girls possess a cumulative G.P.A higher than a 3.4 for their academic careers.

Five of the eight members from the women's tennis team recorded grade point averages north of 3.4 for the fall semester and five of eight hold a cumulative G.P.A. greater than 3.4. They had one 4.0 last semester and all eight members of the team obtained a grade point average above a 3.1 for the fall semester and for their cumulative academic careers.
