Malone University sophomore goalkeeper Angie Nutial was recently honored with American Mideast Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week accolades after helping the Pioneers open their 2010 campaign with a pair of victories.

Nutial, of Alliance, Ohio (Marlington H.S.), allowed just one goal during her 180 minutes of action in front of the net last week. Nutial made 13 saves in a 2-1 triumph over the University of Saint Francis (IN) on Friday and then stopped the only two shots she faced in Saturday's 4-0 shutout of Saint Vincent (PA) College.

The Pioneers return to action at home on Wednesday with a 4:30 p.m. match against Davenport (MI) University.
