MISSION STATEMENT
THE MISSION OF THE MALONE UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT IS TO GLORIFY GOD AND SUPPORT THE EDUCATIONAL GOALS OF THE COLLEGE BY PROVIDING STUDENT-ATHLETES WITH EXCELLENT TRAINING AND COMPETITIVE EXPERIENCES. LED BY CHRIST-CENTERED COACHES AND SUPPORT STAFF, WE WILL PREPARE STUDENT-ATHLETES TO REPRESENT AND SERVE CHRIST IN THE CHURCH, COMMUNITY AND WORLD.


THE DEPARTMENT SEEKS TO BE:
+ CHRIST-CENTERED - UNDERSTANDING THAT ALL ACTIVITY AND ABILITY IS CREATED BY GOD, AND CAN BE USED FOR PERSONAL GROWTH AND SOCIETAL REDEMPTION.
+ STUDENT-ATHLETE FOCUSED - CONCENTRATING EFFORT TO EQUIP AND ASSIST STUDENT-ATHLETES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STRONG LEADERSHIP ABILITY, INCLUDING THE SIX CORE CHARACTER ATTRIBUTES IDENTIFIED BY THE NCAA DIVISION II STRATEGIC POSITIONING PLATFORM: LEARNING, BALANCE, RESOURCEFULNESS, SPORTSMANSHIP, PASSION and SERVICE.
+ COACH DRIVEN - CREATING AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN AND BETWEEN TEAMS AND CAMPUS COMMUNITIES TO MODEL, MOTIVATE, MENTOR AND MULTIPLY A CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW.


Malone University considers the intercollegiate athletic program to be an integral part of the total educational experience.  The University recognizes the significant contribution of recreation, intramural and intercollegiate athletics to the development of well-rounded leaders. From a relaxed recreational program to the very rigorous intercollegiate program, Malone students can experience a wide range of athletic opportunities.

Malone University firmly adheres to the spirit and intent of the rules and regulations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and those of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. While integrating the mandates established by both organizations, Malone retains institutional control. All policies, rules, and regulations are reviewed regularly by responsible faculty and administrative personnel.
