Hannah Haver, a senior middle hitter on the Malone University volleyball team from Fredericksburg, Ohio (Central Christian H.S.), was recently named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week after leading the Pioneers to a pair of hard-fought conference victories this past weekend.
In the Pioneers' road wins over Saginaw Valley State (MI) University and Lake Superior State (MI) University, Haver averaged 2.33 kills per set with a .246 attack percentage, three aces, eight digs and eight blocks.
She tallied 13 kills, six digs and four blocks in a four-set win over SVSU on Friday. Haver then added eight kills, two aces and four blocks in Saturday's victory at LSSU as Malone fought back for the win after dropping the first two sets of the contest.
On the year, Haver is averaging 2.37 kills and 0.69 blocks per set with 21 service aces. She also currently ranks ninth in the GLIAC with a .301 attack percentage.
Haver's award marks the Malone volleyball team's first-ever GLIAC Player of the Week honor.
The Pioneers, winners of six out of their last seven matches, currently own a record of 13-8 overall and 6-5 in the GLIAC. Malone will be back in action at home on Friday with a 7:00 p.m. contest against Lake Erie College.
