Malone University volleyball player Anna Hays earned her first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week award of the season after playing two solid matches this past weekend against Lake Erie College and Ashland University.

Hays averaged 4.29 kills per set and a .403 attack percentage in the two victories. She had 12 kills against Lake Erie Friday and 18 kills and 10 digs on Saturday against Ashland.

Hays has helped guide the Pioneers to winning eight of the last nine GLIAC matches after starting conference play 0-4.

The Pioneers will be in action Tuesday as they continue conference play on the road against rival Walsh University. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
