Pioneer Spotlight: This week's "Get to know the Malone Athletic Staff" segment features women's soccer head coach, Josh Jones. What is your favorite coaching memory at Malone?
-Winning our first conference game in the GLIAC. It was a big confidence booster for our program and proved to the team that they are capable of achieving our goals.
 
Where did you grow up?
-I grew up in Little Hocking, OH.
 
What sports did you play in school (high school and/or college)?
-Soccer only.
 
What's your most embarrassing memory (as a coach at Malone or in general)?
-Sometimes you have to be a little goofy to relax the girls before a game at training, so I showed off some of my dance moves to give them a good laugh.
 
What is your favorite dessert?
-Toasted Marshmallow S'more's Galore from Cheesecake Factory.
 
What's the greatest accomplishment you have achieved at Malone?
-I'm young in my coaching career; therefore I don't believe we have achieved our greatest accomplishment yet.But we have improved each year I've been here and that's all I can ask for until we are in the conference tournament and win it.
 
What's your favorite Bible verse?
-1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?Run in such a way as to get the prize.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed.We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God.We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.
 
What's your favorite professional sports team(s)?
-FC Barcelona
 
What's your favorite restaurant in the area?
-The Bistro of Green
 
What's your favorite hobby or activity outside of coaching?
-Does watching soccer count?
