Bri Libertore Named GLIAC South Division Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Libertore racked up 21 rebounds on Saturday, the third highest single-game total in Malone history.
Bri Libertore, a senior on the Malone University women's basketball team, has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Confernce's South Division Player of the Week following her outstanding performance in the Pioneers' 71-50 triumph over Ohio Valley University on Saturday.

The 6'0" forward from Louisville, Ohio (Louisville H.S.) racked up 21 rebounds to go with 10 points, four assists, three blocks and two steals in the non-conference victory.  The 21-rebound performance smashed Libertore's previous career high of 11 and tied her for the third highest single-game rebound total in Malone history and the sixth highest total in NCAA Division II this year.

On the season, Libertore ranks 12th in the conference with an average of 6.6 boards per outing. 

Malone, now 4-5 overall, will return to GLIAC play on January 2nd with a 1:00 p.m. contest at Saginaw Valley State University.
