Why did you pick Malone?-I picked Malone because it was the best choice for me. It was the closest to my home and it also had the major I wanted. I was also able to play golf which was a big part in my decision.
What's your fondest memory at Malone?-I don't really have just one memory. Traveling to tournaments with my team has to be some of the best times spent at Malone so far. We always have a good time and there is never a dull moment.
What sports did you play in high school?- I played Golf, Basketball, Softball, and Track.
What's your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?-My most embarrassing moment as an athlete would definitely have to be during golf in high school. It was during our pre-season tournament, where I was only on my second hole of the day. I had a slight hook on my drive where it laid right beside the out-of-bounds fence. It was barbed wire that fenced in the corn field. Instead of taking an unplayable lie, I decided I would punch out. I put my back up against the fence and on my back swing my pants got caught on the fence and ripped. My coach had to go get me a bigger shirt from someone on my team. I was so embarrassed and will never forget it.
Who has been your biggest role model?-I have a lot of people I look up to but my mom would have to be my biggest role model. She has supported me and loved me throughout my entire life. I strive to be the woman she is and have the loving heart that she does.
What's your favorite Bible verse?-John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
What's your favorite professional sport team(s)?- I know this isn't the answer a lot of people will like, but my favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
What's your game-day routine?- I don't have a specific game-day routine but one thing I do before each tournament is I put on some happy music and listen to it on the way to the course and when we are on the range warming up.
What do you like to do in your down time?-In what down time I actually have, I like to be with friends and family. I also like to workout and watch netflix, which I'm watching Friends right now.
What are your goals for the future?-The goals I have for my future would be to graduate college and get a job teaching 2nd grade in a school around my hometown. I also would love to find someone and settle down and start a family of my own.
The women's golf team will be competing next at the GLIAC Championships on April 25-26 at Findlay Country Club in Findlay, OH.
